These stones, totally realized with pink salt stones coming from the slopes of Himalaya, are dug out inside the mines of Kewra in the northern area of Pakistani Punjab and originate from a prehistoric sea that dried up over 250 million years ago.
It is totally pure and, thanks to noble trace elements and eighty different minerals, is a precious cooking ingredient.

  • How to use it:
  • The salt plate can be used in many different ways. We list you below some examples:
  • Serving dish: to serve starters, vegetables, meat, cheese and other foods on;
  • Serving dish to serve cold courses: put the pink salt plat into the freezer for about 10 minutes. Take the plate out of the freezer, place it on a dish and put sushi, meat carpaccio, fish carpaccio, canapé but also cakes, semifreddo and fresh fruit on it;
  • To keep food warm: leave your plate in the oven for about 20/25 minutes at a temperature of 60°C/ 140 °F. Once you take the plate out of the oven, it will allow you to serve at the table any course previously cooked, keeping the temperature;
  • To cook at the table: set the oven at a temperature of 250°C/ 482 °F, place your plate on the central grill and wait for about one hour to reach the right temperature to cook food directly at the table;
  • To cook in the oven: if you want to cook something in the oven, in this case fish is the most suitable food. Put the fish fillets on the plate and cook for maximum 20/25 minutes at a temperature not higher than 150 °C/ 302 °F;
  • Gas flame cooking: put the plate into a non-stick pan or directly on the flame (low flame) and in this latter case it is advisable to use also a cooking grid. Then cook your food using neither salt nor seasoning.
  • NB: cooking times and temperatures are only suggestions to be changed according to your personal taste and to the type of food you are cooking.
