This machine is an updated from the II to add no-burn steam and water wands. Isomac does not only have one flagship-but several. The Isomac TEA III is definitely one of them. You can use the TEA III to steam milk and make espresso at the same time. With the help of the boiler manometer (gauge) you can view the pressure of the boiler close up at the same time as you keep an eye on the brew pressure manometer (gauge). Everyone asks why call an espresso machine TEA? Well, in fact, the correct pronunciation is not tea (tee), but TEA (teh-ah) after one of the Greek goddesses (well maybe not Greek, but it sounded good). The TEA III is a superbly built machine that can make great espresso. Look at all the details below!
- Body Finish: Stainless Steel
Power: 110 volts only, 60 Hz, 15 Amp. Warranty: One year parts and labor Measurements: Height 15 3/4" Width back 10 1/8 " --- front drip tray 10 3/4" Wands extended 17 3/4" Depth w/o portafilter handle 17 1/8" --- w/ portafilter handle - 20 1/2" Drip Tray width 10 1/2" --- depth 6 3/4"
Pump Pressure Gauge should only be looked at when extracting espresso. At no other time should this gauge be viewed as it is meaningless at all other times. Second, If the gauge shows different results while extracting, this indicates that your coffee grind tamping, or amount of ground coffee in the basket is not proper Green Light - While warming up, this green light remains off until the machine reaches proper steam pressure (not pump pressure). It will go and off alternately with the red light while it intermittently re-heats to maintain steam pressure. In other words, it will turn on and off throughout the day and it will definitely go off while while extracting as cold water enters the heat exchanger to extract espresso. Boiler Pressure Gauge - Once the machines heats up, this gauge will vary from 0.8 to 1.3 depending upon setting, and it will change throughout the day in this range. As long as the machine is fully heated, the machine extract espresso or steam milk while in this range. Backflushing: This machine should be backflushed minimum once every 50 espresso extractions. This is only for cleaning the oils from the grouphead. Descaling: This really is for internally cleaning of the machine. Recommended once every 3 months using Durgol. However, it can be more or less time depending upon the amount of magnesium and calcium is in your water, how often you use the machine, and how much time you leave the machine powered on each day.
