Stelton was founded in 1960 in Hellerup, Denmark with the aim of manufacturing stainless steel vessels. Years later hire Stelton Arne Jacobson and Erik Magnussen who designed objects for the table very grateful that provides elegance, simplicity, immune to the vagaries of fashion.

The high quality products exemplify Stelton Danish design are represented in the collections of museums around the world such as MOMA, the Cooper Hewitt Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, the Neue Sammlung among others.

The EM77 is probably Erik Magnussen's most well known piece created by this Danish designer. Magnussen's ceramist background is evident and determinant for objects not only related to tabletop but lighting, furniture and other themes. His design pieces show talent that combines artistic sensibility with the understanding of industrial production.

During 1976 Erik Magnussen developed this iconic jug for Stelton called "Termo". This iconic jug was part of a collection developed by Magnussen with the purpose of complement Arne Jacobsen's Cylinda Line, dated 1967. Magnussen objects had the same principle as Jacobsen's: durability, easy of use, simple lines but in addition Magnussen line was meant to be easier to manufacture and able to reach a wider audience looking for colors and less formal look than the Cylinda objects.
