Macap has been making espresso equipment since 1930, and with their manual M4 Stepless Doser Grinder, you get a sense of what 80+ years of craftsmanship can deliver. This impressively high-capacity flat burr grinder is still relatively petite, tucking under counters that have at least 20" of clearance. With a stepless worm adjustment, you have total control over the fineness (or lack there of) of your grind. Discover why many consider this grinder the last one they'll ever need (or want!) to buy. As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings on MACAP coffee grinders when the unit is powered 'on' and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will "gunk" up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grind
2. There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, trying using a different blend of beans.
3. It is confirmed that MACAP tests EVERY grinder with coffee beans before it leaves their facility, but they are not always able to get every trace of coffee out of the grinders after testing. As a result, you may find coffee beans or grinds inside your grinder, or there may be grinds in the packaging when you unwrap it.
4. When replacing burrs, NEVER use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your machine.

Features
- The newest feature is a stepless adjustment for setting the grind fineness. This means you can fine tune the grind fineness as there are no click settings, but a worm gear drive. Also, we do not recommend this grinder for multiple methods of brewing as it takes many revolutions to adjust from espresso to drip, and the grinder must be running while you do this.
- Finally, do not feel confused between the Macap M4 and Macap M5 grinder. The M4 grinder is the newest offshoot of the Macap M5. The Macap M5 has a longer, higher bean hopper on top that makes it extend over 18" in height - not practical for the home. The Macap M4 was designed with a lower, but wider bean hopper profile for use in your home, office, or commercial establisments.
