Description

Magnum is one of most notable Norstaal's cutlery patters and also one of best known object designed by Donald Wallance. Wallance was a American metalworker and furniture designer. His design background comes from The Design Laboratory in New York and he also studied international style design and architecture in Eastern Europe.

Magnum flatware was launched in 1968 with generous proportions of concave curves, which accentuate even into the tip of the blade and the gently curved prongs - as a consequence, it simply feels right. All handles feature the characteristic elliptic form language that is not only practical when in use, but also gives a beautiful silhouette when laid out on the table.

Magnum is an enduring, all-time classic that reflects a magnificent epoch in Scandinavian design history, although designed by an American designer. Magnum is exhibited in the permanent collection of The Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York, together with Don Wallance's complete archive.
